DiscussHR is an independent,membership-based community of HR professionals focused on transforming business, people or HR processes and functions.
We collect and share issues, trends and knowledge of HR Business Process Transformation, HR Outsourcing, Shared Services, Technology, Change, Project and Talent Management amongst HR Professionals, Service Providers, Scholars and Advisors
Our goal is to help all interested parties realise the greatest benefit possible from the collective industry knowledge through, Online Comment and Discussion, Learning & Insight, Best Practices, Templates and Publishing & Research…

Yvan Marquis - Cofounder
Yvan started his career in operations within the Banking and Finance industry. He quickly progressed to participating in significant organizational change & systems projects. He joined HRMS Consulting with a view to focusing on projects with more exposure to HR and systems development. After working for two years on developing and maintaining PeopleSoft HR applications, he took part in functional analysis. He took on consultancy-based Account Management, Project Management and Team Leadership positions from that point. Overall Yvan has held international, HR related consulting positions for the past six years. During this time he has been responsible for implementing HRIS systems and designing business processes for major companies in industries as diverse as Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Banking and Automotive. Recently Yvan held the role of Business Process Design Team Lead and participated in the implementation of a European HR Service Centre. Yvan launched DiscussHR following several months of research into the idea that an online forum could assist fellow Consultants and HR colleagues who are faced with the need to transform HR. He then joined forces with his business partner (Helen) and DiscussHR Limited was formed.
- Helen Fairclough – Cofounder
Helen has held senior Human Resource leadership positions for the past eighteen years, with several roles in fast moving corporations. She moved swiftly through the ranks working across a large array of market sectors, clients and roles such as Director of HR, Manager HR Strategy and Regional Manager - Shared Services. More recently her focus has been on HR Strategy and Transformation, specifically HR Shared Services, Information Systems, Talent Managment, Projects and Processes. Over the last twenty plus years Helen has enjoyed success as a practitioner in all aspects of Human Resources from project leadership, HR systems and change management to performance management, policy development and recruitment. She has gained extensive experience in start-up environments and in industries as diverse as advertising, consulting, gaming/hospitality and insurance, law, manufacturing, petroleum and energy (oil/gas), pharmaceutical and retail. In addition she holds a Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Helen was spurred on to launch DiscussHR with her business partner (Yvan), when he first planted the seed of an online forum that would aid other Human Resource professionals who are faced with the need to transform HR.
