Director, Talent Acquisition - Avid Technology

The Talent Acquisition team’s mission is to consult to Avid management on global talent acquisition best practice by defining talent needs, understanding global talent sources and deploying talent in the right place and at the right time for Avid to meet current and future talent goals. Job Description 

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Director of Talent Acquisition provides strategic leadership and direction in our global pursuit of the best available talent. The Director will ensure that business strategy is translated into human capital needs and deliver programs and services to meet Avid’s talent requirements.

Business Requirements/Deliverables:

• Develop and implement a global Talent Acquisition strategy that fulfills Avid’s talent needs on a global basis.
• Manage a global team of permanent and contract Recruiters responsible for delivering the right talent at the right place at the right time.
• Hands-on direct recruiter for senior and hard to fill positions in Europe (approx. 50% of time).
• Develop programs, process, procedures and policies for obtaining talent (e.g. a global employee referral program, Internship programs, relocation, immigration, on-boarding, etc.)
• Build a college relations program that ensures the continuous infusion of new skills and energy into the organization.
• Partner with Avid Learning & Development, Business Partners, and business leaders to deliver on Workforce Planning initiatives, including efforts to proactively develop talent pools, participating in workforce planning sessions, gap analysis, and implementing programs to support objectives.
• Help define employee value proposition and employment brand and champion throughout organization.
• Leverage technology by recommending and implementing best of breed recruitment tools, including an applicant tracking system and the most productive search tools.
• Manage relationship with on-site third-party Contract and Temporary employee vendor (Veritude) as well as agencies and other vendors.
• Drive Diversity awareness and programs in both hiring and promotions.
• Partner with the global HR Global Operations team to deliver efficient and effective Talent Acquisition services such as interview scheduling, offer letter generation, background checks, and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance and reporting with all local, state, and national employment laws in all of the countries in which Avid operates.
• Define and manage critical performance drivers for talent acquisition (i.e., retention rates, performance in position, time to fill, cost per hire, etc.) based on business needs.
• Manage Talent Acquisition budget, including forecasting and monitoring. Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience in Recruiting/Staffing, including Talent Acquisition strategy implementation
• Demonstrated experience in project management with multiple customers
• Superior presentation skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success managing staff, contractors, and outsourcers to high standards
• Demonstrated experience successfully recruiting on a national basis with the ability to go global
• Demonstrated ability to work with and influence management and employees at all levels
• Bachelor of Science in related field or equivalent, or significant relevant experience.
